We have done this for a number of reasons. First you need to understand this is not to replace any existing raiding group or raid group spots. I would envision a scenario where a raider drops out or is unavailable for a raid, after checking in guild , rather then chance a random pug , the raid leader would send out a message ingame via the channel readytoraid.
Basic ground rules is that you would be bringing a toon that is "raid ready" and can deliver. The toon is one that is not already booked to raid that week aka oh sorry NightLife RL - already helped another guild on this toon
